The Alliance of Therapy Pets is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization connecting highly trained domesticated therapy animals with persons in need of healing, companionship and growth, regardless of a person's age or abilities.
These connections occur within a variety of settings, including and without limitation, individual homes, group settings, facilities, schools, hospitals, nursing homes, natural disasters, and other settings where therapy pets are needed or desired.
A Therapy Pet is a well trained, well behaved, healthy domesticated animal that enjoys regular social activities with people. The most common therapy pets are dogs, although other species include horses, cats and birds.
Therapy animals offer unconditional love and acceptance, brighten moods, and bring smiles to faces!
The Mission of Alliance of Therapy Pets is to build connections between people and highly trained domesticated therapy animals for healing, companionship, and growth in a compassionate and supportive environment.
The Vision of the Alliance of Therapy Pets is to promote and advance the therapeutic value of the human-animal bond to enhance the quality of life and well-being of the community.
